Could A Nerve Along The Inside Of The Leg Near The Tibia Be Damaged From A Recent Injury, Causing Numbness And Pain?

A couple of months ago, I fell on a steel and cut my leg pretty badly. I got it stitched up several hours later. The stitches created a relatively giant V on my lower leg, but I didn t think anything was off. Recently, I started comparing it to my opposite leg and even to other people s legs. The location is on the inside part of the leg, right at the edge of the tibia. [old picture] https://imgur.com/a/wGyONB7 At the very edge of the bone, right before the calves, there should be this nerve (?) that runs from the top of the leg to the bottom. It is the only place where I feel any pain. At this location where it would run up and down my leg, I felt numb the first month, but I m gradually regaining feeling back. Does anyone know what this nerve is supposed to be? I can feel that it was severed and never stitched back together. It s curled up at the top of my lower leg, and I would like to know what it is before considering my next step.
