Hello,
You are having a pea sized lump on the side of your neck under the skin for about 4 months. You also have bruising on your arms and legs, canker sores. You have a
sore throat and ear ache (R side). Sore throat and ear ache are related as it can be caused by
acute sinusitis,
common cold,
tonsillitis, laryngitis,
ear infection, wax in ear, etc. Get clinically examined by an ENT, to detect ear wax or sinusitis, allergy, laryngitis, tonsillitis, etc. You will be treated accordingly.
Get lump in the neck examined, get biopsy done to rule out malignancy. Canker sores commonly occur due to
vitamin deficiency (vitamin B6, B12, folate), stress, changes in your hormones, etc. Take home made balanced food, rich in vitamin B6, B12, folate. You can take supplements. You can take
Acetaminophen, or Combiflam, one SOS when needed.
Avoid taking spicy foods, hot sauce, curries, and hot peppers. Stay away from alcohol, coffee, and chocolate. Do not take acidic fruits and vegetables (pineapple, tomatoes, lemons, oranges). Your treating doctor may treat you with analgesics, antibiotics or surgery. Canker sores can be treated by cautery. Stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
