Could Abdominal Pain And Bloating Post Gallbladder Removal Indicate Pancreatic Problem?
good evening I have been having a lot of pain, bloating after I eat. I don t drink coffee, tea, pop, or juices. My fav drink is milk and water. Lately after eating anything I tummy swells and I can only eat a few bites. I m hungry buy feel sick when I eat. Last night I drank a glass of milk before going to bed I was in pain for hours and bloated. Three years ago I had my gallbladder out because I had these very similar symptoms. I was very sick and in pain after every bite I ate for 7weeks before they removed it. They said I didn t have the normal symptoms but when they removed it it was full of stones and I was fine for awhile until 2013 when I was diagnosed with PBC. I m wondering if now I could have pancreatic problems. Thanks Cheryl Brown
You should avoid oily and heavy food like milk, ghee, butter, meat etc., because for digestion of these, bile salt is needed and your gall bladder is remover already. Hence, keep your digestion good by having selected food items, light food, salad and liquid. Don't take full stomach. You can eat in intervals of time.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Rakesh Bhatty, General & Family Physician
