Could Abnormal Odor From Vagina After Having Sex Indicate Infection From Lower Lumbar Surgery?

I had lower lumbar surgery eight weeks ago. However my incision has healed fine. Last week after intercourse an during I noticed an abnormal odor from vaginal area that I only smelled during intercourse (rotting meat). I ve never had problems in that area never. Could this be a sign of infection from the surgery in itself or some other underlying issue.

Hello,

After sexual intercourse, vaginal discharge is quite a common thing, its not necessary to have an odor in discharge but if the discharge is associated with odour then its suggestive of infection caused by sexual intercourse and not associated with the surgery you underwent.

You should keep proper perineal hygiene, Wash your perineal area with V-Wash overtime you visit the washroom.

If you are still experiencing the discharge then I suggest you take Azee 500 mg once in a day for 5 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
