Is It Possible To Have Bladder Outside My Vagina?

I am 62years old. I believe my bladder is now outside my vagina. ihave had chronic fatigue syndrome, mitral valve prolapsed, atrial fibrillation for 16years and severe lumbar spinal stenosis for 8 years. does all this increase the risk for bladder prolapsed surgery? I have not told my doc about my bladder.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
A bladder prolapse or cystocele in medical terms is very very common. It presents as a mass coming through vagina. Usually the uterus also prolapses with the bladder.

Surgical correction is a very good option for long term benefits. As you are having mitral valve prolapse and atrial fibrillation it does increase the risk during surgery. However it can be undertaken in a well equipped setup with gynecologist and cardiologist acting together during the surgery.

So please discuss this with both the doctors and provide a complete history to both so that your risk will be minimized.
All my good wishes are with you.
Hope this was helpful.
Feel free to ask any further queries and I will be happy to help.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
