Could Amlodipine Cause Persistent Coughing?

I have been taking Propranlol since 1998 and the an urgent care doctor prescribed amlodipine 5mg also. Ever since I started taking amlodipine for 3 weeks now, I have been coughing alot. Sometimes, the cough episode is very bad and takes a while to stop. I had no side effects while taking propranlol. So I would like to know can I stop taking amlodipine?

Amlodipine is not known to cayse cough. Please get yourself evaluated by a chest physician as soon as possible for the cough
