Could Antibiotic Shot For Strep Throat In A Child Cause Pain In Penis?

My 4 year old son went to the emergency room today. He was diagnosed with streph throat and was given an antibiotic shot in the left but cheek. When we got home he got out the car walking like a penguin. When we got in the house he named and then start crying saying his penis hurts. Is this an allergic reaction?
