Could Bad Chest Cold Cause False Positive Results For EKG?

I just had an Ekg done and the doctor asked me when i had a heart attack? I never had that i know of. BP is normal. Cholesterol is normal. No chest jaw pain. Not overweight. Never before had a EKG. Doc sent it to a cardiologist and he i guess told the doctor. There was a change? So confused.. I was sick with a bad chest cold, not much voice left in me. I was talking during the EKG could that hopefully make a false positive?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, EKG is the graphic representation of electric activity in cardiac muscle against the time, some time it shows nonspecific changes and to rule out some doubt patient being asked such question about the past history of heart attack if every had it, and this does not mean that there is something really went wrong, and even if you had talk during EKG tracing it may not affect any big changes, hope this information helps, take care.
