Could Bleeding From Rectum During Bowel Movement Indicate Something Crucial?

Hi
I ate greasy foods for two days in a row and upon the third day I had a rather large bowel movement and shortly thereafter I passed blood via rectum. Have not had a bowel movement since but passed blood on two other occasions. Blood is mostly bright red.
