Could Blurred Peripheral Vision Be Due To Low Blood Pressure?
I just returned from one week in Nicaragua. Managua area. Last night I had blurred vision while sitting down. It subsided after 2 minutes. Just now, I started to get tunnel vision. My peripheral was rainbow and blurry. Is this likely low blood pressure? The area we were in had Dengue and Malaria concerns, as well as typhoid. I have had no fever symptoms.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Piyush K's Response
Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern. As you have history of travelling from tropical area where dengue and malaria are present i would advice a patient coming to me with such complain to do some lab tests. 1.Malaria antigen test. 2.Dengue NS1 antigen. 3.CT Brain might be required as sometimes haemorrhage due to decreased platelet counts in dengue. Follow up with these lab test with general physician. Thanks and regards.
