Could Breathlessness Along With Heaviness In Legs Be Due To Atrial Fibrillation?

my question is cardiac arrhythmia similiar to atrial fibulation , I have been diagnosed with af . and really struggling with one of my medication called diltiazen which was in place of noten. breathlessness heavy legs and unable to sustain excercise for any length of time. I have always had plenty of energy and nothing was out of reach ,now I find myself struggling, just to walk up a slight incline leaves my legs feeling heavy tired and hard to keep going

Atrial fibrillation is a type of cardiac arrhythmia. So it an arrhythmia of lesser severity than ventricular arrhythmia.

Now coming to your current symptoms (breathlessness, weakness and heaviness in legs). These symptoms are due to the drug diltiazem. These are less common side effects of this drug. Patients tend to adapt to the drug in some time.

However if you find difficult to manage, please visit your doctor again. You may require dosage adjustment or an alternative to this. Keep taking healthy diet with more vitamins and minerals.
