Could Brown Colored Ring On Leg Be Due To Lyme Disease?

I have a reddish, maybe brownish ring on the rear of my leg. It appeared about a year ago. I am 82 years of age. my leg strength is very weak. Could this possibly be Lyme Disease . I have gone from normal walking to much assisted walking only with use of a wheeled Walker . I asked my doctor about it 6 months ago but he seemed NOT to be interested in looking or persuing. I have continued o get worse with the legs symptoms.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the Lyme shows up with red ring and central clearing as Bull`s eye appearance.

* The brown colored ring may be sign of chronic non healing ulcer of fungal or bacterial origin most likely.

* However, if you can provide a photo picture of the ring during follow up discussion, I can guide further precisely as per my surgical experience.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
