Could Brown Coloured Lumps In Urine Be Due To Kidney Infection?
I am a 59 year old male with RA had tea colored urine with lumps and string bits in. Gp put me on antibiotics whilst waiting for culture results. Urine now lot lighter and stringy bits slowly going as I been drinking more water. Is this kidney infection?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Urine examination is required to know whether urinary tract infection (UTI) is present or not. It is evident from your history that a culture report is being awaited and culture to done to detect infection. Thus, there is an infectious focus in body, which can be urinary tract infection. Antibiotic course and drinking plenty of water will help in clearing the infection. You take up another urine test to ensure that the UTI is cured after antibiotic intake. Stay in touch with your treating doctor for further work up.
