Could Calcium Deposits Cause Any Knot In The Shin?

Walked into a trailor hitch and hit the edge of my shin. It hurt really bad at the time but did not really bruise. I now have a hard knot on the edge of my shin. You can t really see it but you can feel it. It s been about a month and it s still there and about the same size. It doesn t really hurt, maybe a little discomfort. Could it be calcium deposits?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
No calcium deposits do not cause any knot any where outside the body/skin which is obvious. It can only deposit in the organs/tissues or blood. he knot what you are speaking might be due to the injury you have met. It can subside if it's a hematoma or if it is a bone injury, please consult your doctor who can take a X-Ray and clarify things.
Hope this helped.
Thanks.
