Could Chest Congestion Be A Sign Of HIV Infection?

I have had a congested chest on and off for the last few months. Recently I went to the doctor who prescribed me medicine to loosen the flem and help with the breathing-its not helping (even though it has only been a few days) could this be a symptom oh HIV?

Hello ! I can understand your concern. Mere chest congestion is hardly ever a sign of HIV . You just seem to have a lower respiratory tract infection. Take a course of Tab. Amoxyclav or Tab. Azithromycin along with Tab. pantoprazole . If you have difficulty in breathing you will be benefitted by taking bronchodilator inhalers. Avoid exposure to cold, dust and smoke . You should hopefully be fine within 2 weeks. Hope this helps. Do drop in your valuable feedback.
