Could Constipation Be Due To Enlarged Prostate Gland?
i am a t3 paraplegic been diagnosed with mild prostate but at present i am having bowel movement problems, can this be caused by enlarged prostate my dr in the past has prescribed cflox, alprim, noroxin he is at present away on holidays which one of the 3 is the best to take?
The constipation is quite common in paraplegic patients. It is related to the damage of your nervous system, not related to the enlarged prostate. I would recommend taking a laxative (lactulose ore psillium). I would not recommend taking any of the drugs mentioned by you as they are antibiotics.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
