Could Constipation In A Alzheimer S Patient Be A Matter Of Concern?
My 83 year old mother also has moderate Alzheimers with history of bowel blockage. She has been on Linzess 290, Miralax 2x a day, Laculose solution 30 ml twice a day. She also had three enemas once a day. She has had no bowel movement in 8 days, should I take her to urgent care or would it be better at the emergency room?
at this stge and history of illness , what she needs is nurshing care an sympathy.treatment youare giving is corect. best will be athome with proper nurshing care. urgent care or emergency room are not the solution. if cant provide such care at home then you haveto search specialised centre which can give such care,
