Could Crushing Pain In Center Of Chest Indicate Esophageal Spasms?
For the last month I've had crushing type pain in the center of my chest and then it radiates to the upper part of my back. It's excrutiating pain. I do not have any heartburn or bad taste in my mouth. I had an EKG, Blood work and a stress test and all came back fine so it's not my heart. Could this be Esophageal spasms? How would I know if I do?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You have done the examination which showed your heart is OK. So in my opinion, next step is doing a ultrasonography to see the abdomen because sometimes this symptoms may come from other organs in abdomen. Then you may take in consideration the problems with gastro or esophagus.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Elona Dashi
