Could Delayed Periods After Having Protected Sex With History Of Having Irregular Periods Suggest Pregnancy?

sir please suggest i had protected sex with my gf but still the periods are not coming it is 10 days late now and we are worried about our future as it will be ruined for me and her... plz suggest why this happens, she sometimes had irregular periods.. am lost now..what if she is preg....am worried

Hi

I would suggest that the first thing to be done is to take a urine pregnancy test and rule out pregnancy.This is important to decide further action.

Incase of negative result,you can wait for 7 to 10 days for the periods to resume.If still no menstruation,hormonal pills have to be taken to regularise the cycles.

Any cause of hormonal imbalance including polycystic ovaries,hypothyroidism should be ruled out.
