Could Delayed Periods, Spotting, Constipation And Sore Breasts Indicate A Pregnancy Despite Taking Birth Control Pills?

I started my BC about a week before i was supposed to get my period, Im on seasonique so I shouldnt get a period for a few months. However I am concerned that I could be pregnant. The two days following unprotected sex i had some spotting, then when i should have got my period (had I not started the BC early) I had no period or spoting. The last week I have had tender breasts, constipation and slight fever

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your questions.

The timing of the start of the birth control pills was not ideal. Usually you are supposed to wait until you get your period first. The pills have basically just delayed the onset of your next period, which you will get sometime while on the birth control pills. Make sure you take a pregnancy test AND consider stopping for a week when your bleeding stops and THEN restarting about 5-7 days later. Use condoms until this is sorted out!

I hope that this helps and good luck!
