Could Diarrhea After Eating Half Cooked Pork Indicate Trichinosis?

I currently ate a few portions of pork, (being all brown, no blood or pink whatsoever but still being cooked) and I was told by my father that I can have trichinosis because I ate pork in mid-cooking stage. I had a small amidst of diarrhea about 10 minutes ago and scared because of that being one of the symptoms. Should I be scared?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Trichinosis is caused by eating raw or under-cooked pork and wild game infected with the larvae of a parasitic worm. Sudden onset of diarrhoea may be due to gastroenteritis or infection. Most trichinosis infections have minor symptoms and do not require any treatment as all symptoms resolve without treatment. In those with more intense symptoms, thiabendazole can be used to eliminate the adult worms in the gastrointestinal tract.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
