Could Dizziness Post Heavy Food Intake Suggest Indigestion?
My mom is not a foodie. Yesterday she had quite a few stuffs and later at night she also had chicken. In the morning today when she was trying to get up, she complained of dizziness. She is still facing the problem. What is to be done for that? Can you please guide me.
Dizziness can happen after heavy food intake. Reason behind dizziness depends on the time taken since food intake (immediately after food intake-rush of blood towards abdomen, later- indigestion). Morever heavy food intake demands more water intake, which is not done many times. Decrease water intake can also lead to dizziness.
In case of your mother it seems that she had combination of both mechanism as she is not a foodie. So heavy food intake leads to this. Indigestion is also a possibility since heavy food intake can lead to this. You need to visit a general physician for examination like blood pressure, abdomen. In case of indigestion a course of anta acid (omeperazole 20 mg two times a day in empty stomach) and antibiotic (oflox-ornidazole one adult tablet two times a day) for three days.
I wish your mother healthy days ahead. (Also eat healthy and less)
