Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Could Erectile Dysfunction Be Due To Protruded Disc In Spine?
I had an MRI a couple of weeks ago. It states L5-S1: Mild facet degeneration. Broad-based posterior disc protrusion. There is no nerve root contact within the spinal canal. There is mild bilateral neuroforaminal narrowing. Probable contact of bilateral exiting L5 nerve roots. My question is this: I sometime have a problem maintaining an erection and my erections are not as strong as they used to be. I am a 54 year old man who has not had problems until the past couple of years. Can the back issues I have be causing a partial erectile dysfunction and will Chriopractic help?
I have read your question in detail and will try to help you in the best way possible.
Yes chiropractic would definitly help. And tes back problems can cause erectile dysfunction. But there are many other possible reasons for this dysfunction too. Pychologic factors also contribute so i would suggest keep a healthy sexual hygene and good seductive enviroment a better relationship with partner all these can help. Also there are many drugs that can cause erextile dysfunction. For that u would like u to tell the names to your general physician so that he can change the medications if possible or adjust the dose acvordingly.
I hope this answered all your queries, if you have more queries,I will be happy to answer.
Wish you the best of health.
Regards.
