Could Fever In An Infant Post A Fall A Cause For Concern?

My 7 month old fell off the bed about 3 feet high on Sunday morning. I checked him over and he was okay. Acting normal all day. Monday afternoon he develops a fever of 102.3 temperature. Is this normal? Is the fever a consequence to him falling off bed?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
Welcome to HCM,
I read your query and i appreciate your concern regarding this issue.

As per your question,Fever can not be a consequence of fall from the bed.
There must be some kind of ongoing infection like sore throat, flu,Diarrhea or any other. I will Advise you to look for any infection and then consult with pediatrician.
For the symptomatic relieve I would suggest you to give him/her panadol drops and do tepid sponging.

Hope so it will be helpful.
You can write again in case of any query or follow up.
Wish you good health.
