Could Flu Injections Cause Swelling In Groin And Inner Thigh With Pressure?

My husband received the following injections: havrix hep A, boostrix IPV, influvac 0.5ml. He was supposed to receive the twinrix vaccine which had combined hep A/B. Instead he was given a second hep B injection with the havrix A. ( I received his injections instead). Later that evening he had swelling in the left groin. Still present 3 days later but swelling moving down inner thigh. There is no pain just pressure. He feels like hhe has the flu but we were wondering if this was just a side effect of the flu injection

Hello,

Flu shot does not cause a side effect which show up as swelling in groin and inner thigh. However, a clinical examination is mandatory for the diagnosis of the swelling and its possible management protocols. Till that time, you can apply ice over the swollen part and give analgesic for pain control.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
