Could Frequent Passing Of Tobacco Like Stools With Pain In Stomach Be IBS?

My husband has been visiting the bathroom a LOT lately. His stool looks like tobacco. This week he had vomiting, and stomach pain. Is it an intolerance, or coul it be IBS? He has had a scope (both directions) and they did not find any ulcers or polyps.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the frequent bowel movements, vomiting and abdominal pain can be related to allergies, food intolerance or IBS since he had imaging that did not show a problem.

Allergy tests may help to determine if there are allergies and he may also want to consider a food diary so that he can monitor if there are any particular foods that may be causing the problem.

I hope this helps
