Could Frequent Urination And Thirst For Water Be Due To Epilim CR?
Hi. I am on Epilim Cr 300 in the mornings and Epilim CR 500 in the evenings. I have noticed that I have an increased need to urinate. Sometimes as often as once every 30 minutes. I also have increased thirst, drinking glass upon glass of water but it never gets rid of my dry mouth. I have also gained about 20 kg in the last 3 years. Are these all common side effects of Epilim or should I be looking at other causes? Kind regards James
Medications can cause weight gain in different ways: (1) increasing appetite (2) decreasing satiety or fullness (3) decreasing energy and activity (4)affecting metabolism
If you monitor and alter your diet and consciously increase your energy output if possible then this would help to decrease your weight and prevent further gain.
You should visit your doctor to rule out infection as a cause of your increase urinary frequency, this is the most common cause. If this is ruled out then other causes such as enlargement of the prostate or urinary incontinence would be considered.
I hope this helps
