Could Green Discharge At 36th Week Of Pregnancy Indicate Beginning Of Labour?
Hello Dr. Grief, My daughter is 36 weeks pregnant, and today she had a green discharge when she went to the bathroom. Her doctor told her at ther visit on Tuesday 4-8-14 that she was fully efaced and 1 1/2 cm diolated. she has been haveing back pains on and off and she said the doctor said she could not finish the exam because the babies head was so far down. could thsi green discharge be the begining of labor for her? Her fisrt pregancy only went to 26 weeks with twins. Should we be concerned?
There is nothing to worry about, your daughter is indeed mildly premature but this should not be a cause for concern. As she is almost completely prepared for delivery, her baby should be with her in no time.
It would be best to get her admitted at the earliest, so she can be monitored round the clock.
Hope this helps and congratulations in advance.
Best wishes.
