My mother thought she was having a heart attack (she has a history of heart disease). She went to the hospital because she said she was having a hard time breathing. The night before she had a horrible head ache, dizziness and nausea. She actually had a stroke. They did a CT scan and her brain was affected on the right side. She also was complaining about her throat. Her speech was not affected but she feels like her throat is closing and it is very tight. Two questions r: What can an SLP do for her throat and the next night after she had gotten home from the hospital she had an extreme painful headache with nausea. She did not go back to the hospital as she was told to because she does not believe that anything is wrong with her. Do you think that she has had another stroke?
