General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I am sorry to hear that you are throwing your life and body such easily while being only 23 years old.

The very first thing is to decide to stop smoking poppers and drinking heavily. This is a very good start for a healthy life.

Next, coughing black phlegm is suggestive for possible respiratory bleeding. Other investigations are advised to determine the right cause including
- chest x-ray
- respiratory function test
- ECG, cardiac echo, stress test to monitor your heart
- upper endoscopy to rule out stomach bleeding

You can prevent further damages, however, should evaluate what damages have been done so far to decide whether you can reverse them or not.

All the best!
