Could Heart Palpitations And Feeling Of Shakiness Be Associated With Menopause?
Good after noon
I am a 57 year old woman.. I have been having heart palpitaions and a feeling of shakinessm when ever I try to do work. I seem to require a couple of hrs sleep every afternoon, in order to be able to make it through my day. i think it is associated with menopause and possible beginning of a burn out from work. I have had blood tests done, am waiting on the results. Any ideas? I do see my family Dr on the 13th
hi, Thank you for your query, i understand your concern and i hope my suggestions will be of help to you. Considering your age , there is a good possibility for menopause to be causing your symptoms, Due to the hormonal changes during menopause its quite likely to experience symptoms like hot flushes, palpitations, nervousness, headache etc. To be on a safer side i would suggest you to get an ECG, ECHO and thyroid tests done to rule out other possibilities. Otherwise there is no reason for you to worry , taking hormone replacement therapy would ease you with your symptoms. Hope this helps . Write back to us if you have further queries, wish you good health.
