Could Hypo Maniac And Hyper Sexual Symptoms Be Due To Increased Dosage Of Effexor?

My 24 year old daughter suffers from depression and anxiety. 4 months ago her MD increased her Effexor from75mg to 150mg/day. Now she is hypo manic with racing thoughts, inability to focus and hyper sexual. She can t get in with a psychiatrist for at least a month. What to do? Can t wait a month. No thoughts of self harm, though.

She should not adjust the medication on her own because of the risk of withdrawal symptoms.

If it is not possible to see a psychiatrist then you may want to take her to her GP who may be able to help you.
