Could Increased Levels Of Liver Enzymes Be Due To Malarone?

I took Malarone before, during, and after my trip to india ~ total about 3 weeks. I had some blood work done a few days after I stopped taking Malarone as part of a regular check-up. The lab reported increased levels of liver enzymes and IL-10. Any ideas? Could this be due to Malarone? I am not a heavy drinker.

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Yes, Malarone may increase liver enzymes mildly and you should repeated your tests after malarone is discontinued for 2 weeks and see if this is still high. if yes, then you need to do liver ultrasound and check for viral markers to rule out some more specific liver damage.
Wish you good health. Kindly regards
