Could Intake Of Medications Cause Black Outline At Gum Line?

I have recently in the last 3 days or so found black outlining my teeth at the gum line. It does not come off by just brushing, Could this be from medications even though I have been on them for some time? I take 1 prilosec in the am and eat 4 tums at night time for my calcium.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

As per your complain neither Prilosec (OMEPRAZOLE) nor 4 tums (CALCIUM CARBONATE) is not found to have any such side effect like black outlining on the teeth near gum line...

It may be due to staining of teeth due to deficient oral hygeine and not due to any medicinal side effect..

I would suggest you to visit a dentist and get a clinical evaluation done..
I hope a simple scaling will solve your problem..

Hope your query gets solved..

Thanks and regards..
