Hello,
You are suffering from pulsating lumps in the groin. They do not hurt. You should be careful while doing heavy exercises as it can cause groin pull,
arthritis, hernia, pinched nerve, or other complications, etc. To prevent groin strains, take care when exercising or doing any strenuous activities. This is especially important if you’ve already had a groin strain or have
muscle weakness in this area.
While doing workouts be gentle with yourself. Gradually increase the intensity and duration of your workouts. This helps you gain the strength and flexibility needed to support healthy movement patterns and does not adversely affects the groin area. You may want to work on improving your endurance and range of motion in your lower body, too. Always include a warmup and cooldown in your workouts.
It is possible to feel normal pulsations of the femoral and
popliteal artery in the groin, etc.
Aneurysm in the groin may also cause pulsations in the groin like femoral aneurysm, abdominal artery aneurysm. Swollen glands,
hernias can be few other possibilities. A
pulsating tumor can also cause feeling of irregular pulse in the groin. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a
General Surgeon, get the required blood tests, imaging tests if required done to detect the pathology causing you symptoms. You will be accordingly treated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
