Could Intermittent Pain In Jaw Be A Symptom Of Heart Attack?

My brother called to ask me what I thought his jaw pain could be. He described the pain in his jaw as coming and going for the past two weeks and says it is hard to pin point the exact spot of pain but that it is mostly in the lower left jaw. He said he has also had some shoulder pain during this time (also described as coming and going). He visited the dentist last week thinking the jaw pain might be related to the crown he recently received; the dentist told him it was fine. I am concerned that this could be a sign of a heart attack. He is not concerned about this, thinking if it were, he would have had a heart attack by now. Is it possible to have early signs of a heart attack that last 2 weeks?
