Could Irregular Vaginal Spotting And Frequent Urination Be Due To Polyp In Uterus?
i went to obgy last week complaining of spotting between periods and need to urinate. I am 46 years old. she found blood in my urine and put me on antibiotic and then did a test taking pictures inside my uterus. She found a polyp. She recommends surgery for removal. Does the polyp explain the bleeding and need to urinate?
hii. i went through your question and from what i understand you have a uterine polyp or endometrial polyp. it is a mass protruding from the inner layer of uterus( endometrium). polyps are usually benign. One of the most common symptoms patients complain about is bleeding or spotting in between the periods. if the mass is big enough it exerts pressure on you bladder causing your other symptoms of frequent urination and blood in urine. polyps can be managed with medications bt they tend to re-occur. they can be surgically removed using curetagge under hysteroscopy (a tube inseted through vagina) i would suggest you to discus it with your treating doctor who can explain you the entire procedure. hope this answered your queries. have a good health.
