Could Keeping Mobile Phone Beside The Head While Sleeping Be Harmful?

My husband falls asleep putting my little one to bed each night and leaves his mobile phone switched on on the bedside locker. I worry about radiation from phone as you constantly hear about increase in brain rumors etc.. Am I just being neurotic? Thanks in advance for answers.
