Could Lack Of Interaction In Child Be Caused By Autism?
at 18 months my son thinks ben may have autism however ffor the first 15 mths he kept a dvd of mickey on all day and not alot of interaction he now only watches 15 mins 2x a day n when i sit for him i notice alot he does not however he bables at me the most and can imitate the farm animals his speech is limited
Probably the main issue is the fact that children should not be under the effect of screens for long during the day, especially should not be more then an hour a day watching TV or other screens.
If you notice that your child is not having his language skills as he should he should be evaluated by a doctor. There are many things a doctor will ask you and will try to find during the examination of the child to have an idea if the child is having problems with the autism or not and generally the diagnosis is set after 14 months of age so he is in an age to be diagnosed if autism is present.
I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
