Could Limping Be Due To Back Pain?

I have a limp neuro surgeons say its not a back problem, though i have had 5 operations. it seems i walk with a straight knee. but ialso think it could be my left hip. i have pain when i get up first thing in morning. walk around 15/20 mins.its not as bad. in my research i have read that this limp is trying to avoid causing pain in the back. what do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Patient,

yes the limping can be something that you "halfconsciously" do to avoid back pain. However, if you are having knee or hip pain on the same side, an orthopedic doctor should examine the joints also to check for possible joint problems like arthrosis. Hope this is helping you , if you have any clarificatons you can get back to me, if this was helpful please kindly rate my answer. Best regards
