Could Liquid Substance Near Stitches Of Ceserean Operation Indicate Infection?

Hi Doctor,

I am Prabhath
I reside in Bangalore, India.
My wife delivered a boy baby on 28-Sep-2012 through Ceserean operation.
She complains of some liquid substance seen near the stitches.
However, the scar is getting healed on the sides.
Could you please advice, if there could be any chance of infection?

Thank you.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern if there is something seen near the site of wound and does not have any swelling reddening or pus collection then nothing to worry, only thing is to rule out the possibility of some part of stich remained inside meanwhile try "Povidone" ointment this would be helpful if this does not resolved then need to be examined clinically, take care and have nice day.
I find this answer helpful
