Could Loss Of Voice Be Due To Lung Filling Up With Fluid?

My husband died of heart failure a couple of weeks ago. The last 2 weeks of his life I thought he had loss his voice due to laringitis. A friend of mine mentioned that could have been a side affect if his lungs were filling up with fluid. Is this possible?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

If at all his lungs had filled up with fluids, he would have had difficulty in breathing and he would be out of breath to speak, but this would not have resulted in loss of voice. But laryngitis could have affected his vocal chords, that is a possible scenario.

Best wishes.
