Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a lumbar injury recently. Degree of pain has been getting better. Although pain that used to be in one spot now travels down leg and is now in both legs. Feet and lower legs today look dry and feet slightly swollen. Leg cramps when I lay down to sleep. Laying down to sleep is the worst.
Lumbar injury can compress the nerves supplying the lower limbs and can cause cramps. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated. An MRI may be required for further assessment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
