Could Medical Complications Occur In The Future After A Post-partum Hemorrhage?
THIS IS SHANTHI. MY BOTH DELIVERY WERE THROUGH C SEC. DURING MY SECOND DELIVERY I HAD POST PARTUM HEMMORAGE AND EIGHT BOTTLES OF BLOOD WERE GIVEN.WILL I GET ANT HEALTH COMPLICATIONS FUTURE AND ALSO MY TUMMY IS VERY BIG. GIVE ME SOME SUGGESTIONS.THANKS IN ADVANCEV
Post partum hemorrhage (PPH) can be due to multiple reasons. If bleeding has been arrested and you don't have any problems now, there should not be any future issues. However, if bleeding was due to a placental problem or clotting disorder, or failure of uterus to contract, a future pregnancy may become complicated.
Blood transfusions are generally safe, thanks to the screening procedures used these days. However there is a small risk of disease transmitted by blood (hepatitis, hiv)
Please talk to you doctor regarding these.
Having a big tummy after delivery is expected. Exercise and healthy diet will help tone these muscles and to back in shape. Talk to your doctor as to when it is safe for you to Exercise and to what level. Better to start slow and slowly work your way up.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Wish you good health
