Could Mid Range Chest Pain Post TIA Be Indigestion?

I m 44 years old and I ve been under some stress lately... anyway I had some mid range chest pain today that I thought was indigestion. It kept bothering me and as I was looking for someone with some antacids I stopped and took a Goody s powder. Within just about 30 seconds my pain was gone. I only took the powder to cover my bases because I ve had 2 TIA ( think that what they called them- mini strokes). Now I m concerned that it wasn t indigestion.... ????

Hi,
As you have mentioned that you have 2 episodes of TIA, it indicates you are at high risk for development of blockages in blood supply at different places mainly heart and brain.

Hence I would like to advise you not to neglect your chest symptoms.
Consult cardiologist and get EKG and 2DEcho done (may require Stress testing). After doing this cardiac evaluation we can make appropriate diagnosis of your chest symptoms.

Though there is high possibility of these symptoms are related to digestive problem if there is associated burning sensation with burping.
But cardiac evaluation will put you at safe.
