Could Motion Sickness After Taking A Long Flight Be The Reason For Vomiting In A Child?
I have a 5 yr old son who has thrown up 5 times today and is refusing to eat or drink. He just had some water but threw up right after. I am thinking it could be motion sickness as we had a 13 hr flight yesterday. Do I need to take him to a doctor or should I try orange juice and Pedialyte first? Please help!! Thank you!
Hello dear Thanks for your query at hcm I understand your concern.
Yes such long v duration of flight journey might cause vomiting . if child doesn't look dehydrated give small amount of water and soft diet like bread . if vomiting is v continuing give syrup vomikind 5 ml thrice daily it will help child. If child is dehydrated visit your consultant pediatrician. Regards.
These are common symptoms of Jet lag. Sometime these kind of symptoms happen. There is nothing to worry. Just help him getting sound sleep and after it he would be fine. If even after getting sleep he has these symptoms, then consult doctor.
