Could Motion Sickness After Taking A Long Flight Be The Reason For Vomiting In A Child?

I have a 5 yr old son who has thrown up 5 times today and is refusing to eat or drink. He just had some water but threw up right after. I am thinking it could be motion sickness as we had a 13 hr flight yesterday. Do I need to take him to a doctor or should I try orange juice and Pedialyte first? Please help!! Thank you!

Psychiatrist Dr. Abhishek Kapoor's  Response
hi
thanks for using healthcare magic

These are common symptoms of Jet lag. Sometime these kind of symptoms happen. There is nothing to worry. Just help him getting sound sleep and after it he would be fine. If even after getting sleep he has these symptoms, then consult doctor.

Thanks
