Could Muscle Twitching Be The Symptom Of Seizure?

This morning i had something strange happen to me and I ve had a similar experience in the past. I woke up suddenly aware I was thrashing and twitching. I tried to call out for help but i couldn t control my tongue, and my face was twitching then I blacked out. When I woke up later I felt fine. I told some family members and a cousin who has epilepsy and they seem convinced I may have had a seizure. I m not so sure and wonder could this have been something else? I had a similar experience when I was thirteen while playing a video game. I was playing the game one minute the next i realized i was biting my tongue, drooling, my face was twitching and I felt i had static electricity all over me. Other than that I ve had episodes that I remember from elementary school of losing bits of time. I remember my first grade teacher telling my mom she thought I had ADD because i would stare off. I was often accused of being a daydreamer but don t recall having dreams. For example my first grade class was making cupcakes i remember pouring the batter into the trays then sitting down and watching everyone finish up. Catching bits and pieces of what was happening around me then everyone just disappeared. In fifth grade i had a teacher get upset because she called on me several times in class to answer her but apparently i just stared straight ahead. one minute she s at the front of the class then she was in my face and everyone was staring. These episodes were very frequent in elementary school and the frequency became much less as I got older. As an adult I still have episodes but not very often as far as I m aware. I do remember a few years ago coming home on the bus when i had an episode. I was getting ready to signal my stop when the next thing I notice i m several blocks past my stop. Last year I was driving with my 13 year old nephew in the car i was getting ready to get into the left turn lane and then all of a sudden the scenery changed. I had to have my nephew help me back track to get back where we were. He said he tried to get my attention but i just ignored him so he thought i knew another way. The thing is we were talking and he said I stopped mid sentence and he didn t know aything was wrong until I started talking again where I left off and then had to ask for directions back to where we were. Two weeks ago I was at work and my coworkers were talking to me and I was only catching bits and peices of what they were saying. A coworker had to take over what I was doing because either I just stopped or wasn t doing it right. Then one of them said to me hello is anyone home . Apparently i was staring off. My question is whether or not I actually am having seizures and do I need to see a doctor. Also could the episodes i ve had since I was a child could they be seizures too or just ADD as my first grade teacher suggested. I have never been diagnosed with either.
