Hello,

Yeast infection is not an STI. It can occur in people who are not sexually active as well. But infection can pass from person to person during sexual intercourse. Get yourself and your partner treated for yeast infection. You can apply ointment miconazole topically on the affected area and so should your partner in his affected area.

Take orally a course of antifungal medication, like fluconazole. Take care of your hygiene. Do not touch or scratch. To be on the safer side both of you are advised to get STD tests done, so that both of you can be treated if tests show positive result.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
