First, I want to say that I come from a family that very seldom ever drinks, so I almost never drink alcohol.
My husband and I are 31 years old. We have been together for a total of 3 years/ married for 14 months.
He always liked to party with the boys, but I feel that he is drinking a little bit too much.
Not only is he 31 years old and needs to grow up... he also is getting pretty wasted at least once a week.
Because he is getting so drunk when he goes out once a week with his friends, I have been a little harder on him when he wants a beer at home. I worry that he could have the start of a problem.
He drinks 3-4 beers per day, at least 3 times a week on top of the total drunkenness twice a month.
Do you think this is normal?
My biggest concern is that he is now hiding beers from me.
I found them recently and I don't know if he is hiding them because he "needs" to drink them or because he doesn't want to hear me question him.
I may sound like a nagging wife, but his father and grandfather were alcoholics and I have been through a lot of crap with my husband in the past with drinking too much and staying out at all hours of the night, so please try and understand where I am coming from.
Do you think my husband has an actual drinking problem?
Thank you!
