Could My Persistent Stringy White Discharge And Occasional Tingling Be A Lingering Infection Despite Prior UTI And Yeast Treatment?

Hi I ve had vaginal discharge stringy white. Had a burning sensation but that s gone. Just get a tingling sensation every now and then. All STD test are negative. I had a urinary tract infection a month ago and was on antibiotics and then the doctor said I had a yeast infection. But this is worrying me as I did get a very mild pelvic pain.

Hello,

You may have again got urinary tract infection. Since it is recurrent, it is better to go for urine culture and sensitivity test, then go for treatment. A vaginal smear study and culture test is also helpful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. C. Elanchezhian, General & Family Physician
